Void a check:

  • Select the check in the Write Checks window.

  • Select Edit > void a check in quickbooks from the menu.

  • The Memo field has been prefixed with "VOID." Fill in the Memo section with any extra information about the transaction. When you reconcile the bank account, indicating the cause for the canceled check will assist explain any missing checks.

  • Examine the canceled transaction, then click Save & Close.

To remove a check

  • Open remove a check,

  • Select Edit > Delete Check from the menu.



  • Click OK in the Delete Transaction box. The check has been removed from your records and cannot be recovered.
